If you are having a hard time keeping your balance with everything that is going on, just pause and remember…
It is so easy for the current crisis, latest discouragement, or just simple fatigue to eclipse the bigger picture of our lives. And when you can’t see yourself in context, it’s easy to lose your balance.
But there are plenty of things to grab on to keep from slipping and falling into a mud puddle or rut. You just have to help yourself notice them.
Remember.
*answered prayers from the past
*things that actually worked out in the end
*that time when you did something adventurous or took a risk
*something you achieved and felt so happy about
*something you did that made a difference for someone else
*something that almost always makes you smile or laugh
*a time when you were 100% sure that you are loved for who you are
*a time when you felt comforted
*the most beautiful sunset or sunrise you’ve ever seen
*the flowers that push up through hard ground in spring
*the way the sun scatters diamonds all over a deep blue sea
And the more you reach for the good things, the farther your soul will get from the pit.
Re-member. Reconnecting to the parts of you and the times of great blessing and joy temporarily forgotten will steady you.
